A hot one in Sydney today. There's a fair-dinkum heatwave on this weekend. The mercury may well rise to 43 degrees in the Western suburbs tomorrow.
A veritable scorcher tomorrow so we'll be retreating a bit sharpish to the Dawn Fraser pool. Can't wait to cool off for a few hours.
I always wondered what exactly fair-dinkum means...Can you explain to the nice Canadian lady please :) Lol.
ReplyDeleteHello Biddie. 'Fair dinkum' is a well-known Australian colloquialism that means something like: true blue, the real McCoy, anything good that is trustworthy and solid.
