Bush in Britain

President Bush was in Britain just recently. Of course, the usual professional protesters were out in force but I don't think anything too major occurred. Perhaps they realise that Bush is on his way out and they're not too bothered anymore. I think the leftoids are going to miss El Presidente. Now they will have to look for real causes to problems in stead of blaming everything on Bush.

The art of flirting

Flirting. Ah.. now you are talking. I love the way some girls or women are champions when it comes to the fine and delicate art of flirting. Sometimes it can be something really very subtle and persuasive and other times it can be something a little less refined. However it pans out, flirting can really make my day. And I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad thing to flirt a little even when you are in a relationship. I think it is also a social mechanism that works well between people, in my case people of the opposite sex. A bit of flirting never harmed anyone, in my honest opinion, and it can really lift your spirits on any given day.

Perhaps I should adopt an Extreme Style by VO5 to help me improve my flirting success. Or try to get the right kind of Victory Hair to impress the lovely ladies. When you ask me: what is the look you give when flirting, I would have to say I usually try to produce a knowing smile, something which comes naturally, I have to say. I don’t like trying cheesy pick up lines or smarmy come-ons. A little risqué joke here, an attentive smile or gesture there; a willingness to be a little intimate without becoming sleazy; I think that is my modus operandi, basically.

Human rights

So, we have now released an islamist cleric on bail. He was dubbed Al-Qaida's spiritual leader in Europe and Osama Bin Laden's right hand man. This guy, a hate preacher, successfully fought his extradition to Jordan where he is charged with terrorism charges. Bless him. It is nice to know we are looking after his human rights, isn't it? Not bad for a bunch of infidels, really..

The ideal wedding photographer

For many girls their wedding day is the day that they are dreaming of for years, imagining it to be the perfect day and the very best day of their lives. Some brides go to amazing lengths to make sure that the big day is just perfect and that everything goes without a hitch. After all, you want your wedding day to go well and for everyone involved to have a wonderful time. I’m not sure if the same goes to the same extent for the groom as his input might be reduced to just showing up on time. But perhaps I am being too harsh. Of course, a groom wants to enjoy the day as well. After all, he is marrying the love of his life so it only makes sense, I suppose.

There are many Professional Wedding Photographers to choose from and it can be very important to have the right kind of wedding photographer on the big day. You need someone who knows his trade and is able to make some amazing shots of the couple and the wedding guests, even if the weather decided not to cooperate fully. Also, the photographer needs to be amiable and persuasive as some time might be required in taking a sometimes seemingly endless series of pictures. It is only fair that the couple and the family want to keep a memorable record of the event. So, the photographer needs to be able to put the guests at ease in order to bring out the besting them.

A sense of humour would not go amiss as a wedding day can seem like a very long day and he or she needs to keep the guests, bride and groom on side all along. I suppose that a good professional wedding photographer would need to be able to establish a good rapport with children as pictures of the children present at a wedding can make for really uplifting wedding photos.

Dutch beat Romania

The Dutch won their last match in the group stages of the Euros by beating Romania by two-nil. Easy-peasy. The Romania never looked like scoring didn't impress. What was impressive was how Holland were able to field a second-string team that still had some extremely good players in it. Now they're in the quarter final against either Sweden or Russia. Roll on Saturday!

Investing in overseas property

Would you like a holiday home somewhere scenic and warm? How would you respond to a tantalising question like that if you had to think about it? Where in the world would you like to have some overseas property if you could make an informed choice? For many people, I would imagine, France would come top of the list. People just love the idea of the French country idyll, and I must say it is a tempting one. For me, personally, it would have to be sunny Spain. I think I would choose somewhere near Murcia on the coast for my ideal foreign property. I would enlist the services of this renowned Overseas Property Investment Agency and off I would go on a well deserved series of stress free vacations. Who could blame me, really?

I just love Spain when all things are considered. I like interacting with the friendly people, the rugged landscapes, the food that I find irresistible and, obviously, the balmy climate. I love the fact that you can be sitting outside somewhere, underneath the stars, at eleven o’ clock at night and still be eating and drinking and enjoying some fiery Flamenco music. What is not to like, as they say?

Or, alternatively, I would choose a property investment in one of Spain’s wonderful cities, such as Seville or Barcelona. I could go for that equally. An art deco apartment in Barcelona would do me fine or a nice pad in magical Seville. It would be a great investment and I could use it when I wanted to visit the place. That sounds ideal. Could you wrap me up one of those, please?

Or, should I be incredibly chique and opt for a flat in Paris? That would be pretty cool as well. I could perfect my French and drink wine and beer in the many quaint bars of this fabulous capital city. Oh la la, now there is an idea. Investing in the Euro zone generally would seem like a good idea, I would guess, so why not?

Orange overkill

Much as I like the fact that the Dutch football fans have a lot to shout about at the moment I have to admit that I have never revelled in the sight of hordes of people, all dressed in bright neon-like orange, wearing tulips, cheeses and/or windmills on their heads. It just makes me feel a tad queasy, to be honest. Good luck to them and I hope their team will go far in this tournament but sometimes I long for the days when television sets were black and white..
