Raining cats and dogs

The whole day it has been raining steadily. It's a good thing over here in Australia. In the driest continent the people welcome any rain. It's good for agriculture, the rivers, the drinking water reservoir levels, and the gardens. So, let's be thankful to whomever chose to perform a rain dance first thing this morning. Thank you, Mr/Ms Rain Maker.

Gold bullion

It goes without saying that most of us have, at some stage, dreamed of what it would be like to be truly rich. One of the images that denote real luxury and riches has to be the sight of those golden yellow items that are so impressive to just look at such as jewellery and art objects. At Monex Precious Metals you can invest in gold bars, gold bullion, coins, silver, platinum and palladium and other products. And, as everyone well knows, investing in gold is usually one of the safest options that will keep their worth in years to come.

Buying gold bullion has been recognized for ages and ages as one of the most reliable ways to preserve one’s wealth and buying power. And of course gold bullion is a unique investment, that goes without saying. In all ages and across the world, people have been fascinated with the beauty and the magic of gold. Fire telethon

Tonight, I watched a bit of the big fundraising show on television. Funds are being raised for the victims of the terrible bushfires in Victoria. It was quite moving to see how people have rallied to help out the people in Victoria. They raised millions of dollars and I'm sure they will keep raising money. It's good to see the country sticking together.

Gorgeous brekkie

Just enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at my all time favourite cafe down the road. The food is lovely and the service is always efficient and friendly. It's a busy sort of place with all manner of people quickly popping in for a fast coffee on the run and a bite to eat. But you can sit down and enjoy your food and superb coffee and read the paper as well. It really is a great way to start the day.

Energy saving

Energy. There are mornings when I wake up and I don’t seem to have much of it at my disposal. But that’s just me. Much more important is the energy we all use to power all of our appliances and so on. I tend to try to switch off the stand-by function on the television.

I once heard that the stand-by function on the television still uses about eighty percent of the energy that it uses when switched on. But if you want to check How Much Electricity Does a micorowave use or any other appliance check out this link.
