Laughter is the best medicine. How often have you heard that well worn phrase? And yet, it makes sense because it is true. Some of life’s turmoil suddenly does not seem to terribly bad once you are able to make a joke and make light of a situation. Humour alleviates the mood and it is a tried and tested method of dealing with life’s slings and arrows. Personally, I love to go to the theatre and watch a really good stand up comedian. A few weeks ago I went to the see the very funny Irish comedian Dara O’Briain and had a wonderful time. I love the still involved, the ease of dealing with a live audience, the inventive use of language; the belly laughs and roar of the crowd at a good one-liner. It’s all good.
