‘Gold..’, do you remember that iconic Spandau Ballet song? It was a big hit in the eighties and we all danced to tune of those lyrics about gold and what have you. Some of those eighties bands were so funny with their big hair and shoulder pads. Endearingly silly, I think you may easily describe them. But the use of the word ‘gold’ was a clever one. Everyone can imagine something when they hear or say that particular word. It conjures up visions of opulence and great wealth but also firm assets in a very insecure world, you must agree.
