Sometimes it makes me laugh to consider the trivial stories that dominate the news. This weekend's big news so to speak was that Carol Vorderman is leaving the popular tv programme 'Countdown' after being asked to accept a ninety percent paycut. She was earning millions for doing the number crunching on this quiz but Channel Four executives though they'd get rid of Carol after a few decades of gracing the show. Poor old Carol.
