I spent most of the weekend listening to Mansun's debut album Attack of the Grey Lantern, being blown away by the smooth accomplished sound of this band from Chester. I can't believe how much I love this album already. I often find out about bands or artists after the fact, i.e. after the initial hype of their rise to fame has passed, and has passed me by. I've had this with a number of bands. I've already ordered some of their more recent albums so I'm looking forward to getting to know their music in much greater detail. What a voice, what a great sound. Top stuff!
