Few would argue that it is easy these days to get by on a daily basis without having a credit card of some sort. I would say that it makes things easier to use my credit card, providing I do so wisely and responsibly. Sometimes it is just a lifeline to be able to charge an unexpected expenditure to a credit card to tide you over until funds start flowing again. Almost everyone does it like this and that is fine.
