Your perfect bedroom

What is the bedroom but a retreat from the big bad world outside? The bedroom, after all, needs to be a haven of peace, an oasis of tranquility; simply put it needs to a proper sanctuary in which to retreat from the world and one’s daily cares and mundane troubles. When the working day is over and the needs of the day and evening are looked after it is here where one needs to be to withdraw from everything else and focus on relaxation and bliss. At least that is what I think, and I think that I am right although you may disagree.

If I were to have one of those bedrooms with some fantastic fitted bedroom furnitureI would opt for something elegant but still comfortable. I could not really relax in something that is too pristine or museum-like in its appearance. I would want to be comfy but also to have the feeling that I am surrounded by a fine, elegant boudoir, if you will. A person’s taste can never really be a topic of debate. Anything goes, I feel.

Of course, the colours would have to be subtle and light so as to maximise brightness and an airy feeling. I would steer clear of pastel colours as I am not too keen on those. The fittings would be modern or classic but stylish at any rate and the furniture would be of a certain good quality. I don’t think you can cut corners there but that is my opinion. A sense of luxury is sometimes easily attained if you make the right choices.
