At least some policitians are keeping an eye on what sort of society we are creating for ourselves and speaking out even if the government insists that all is well. Some cliché buzzwords are becoming very annoying. Every time something is handled appallingly, sometimes with disastrous consequences, some governmental spokesperson will say that ‘a full inquiry’ will be ordered, after which (oh cringe!) ‘lessons will be learnt’. We may no longer have Tony Blur for a PM but the levels of spin have not lessened.
