Heard a news story the other day about another example of the insane approach to welfare and social security in Holland. Plans were leaked of a scheme whereby a group of heroin addicts, living in Amsterdam but of Suriname origin, were due to have a fully paid vacation in Suriname, courtesy of the Dutch tax payer. Apparently, the welfare bureaucrats thought this was a sensible use of public money. I could list many more examples of this Dutch type of nonsense but will leave that for another time. Very silly indeed.
